Ethos and Aims
Choosing a secondary school for your child is perhaps one of the most important decisions you will ever make. At Brampton Manor, we care deeply about each student and do our utmost to ensure that all children achieve, succeed, make progress and are happy so that they can fully benefit from the high quality education we provide. We are a very successful mixed, multi-cultural comprehensive school with high academic and social standards and are fortunate to enjoy outstanding specialist facilities in all curriculum areas, including a brand new, purpose-built Sixth Form Centre.
As an 11-18 Academy we provide a balance of challenge and support to ensure that children of all abilities and from all backgrounds excel and fulfil their potential. Pathways are tailored to suit the needs of each child right up A Level.
Following our school motto ‘success through effort and determination’, we treat each child as an individual and work extremely hard to ensure that their progress and happiness go hand in hand. Our highly-qualified staff have a simple mission: to ensure that no child is left behind.

Brampton Manor was judged to be “Outstanding” in all aspects by Ofsted in June 2012, the first secondary school in Newham to achieve this under the new, tough framework. Pupil progress is by far the best in the borough and has been in the top 1% of all schools nationally for last three years. Our consistently high performance has led us to become a multi-academy trust and a national support school. In this role, we are working very closely with Langdon Academy.
Our facilities and the teaching expertise we have in these areas enable our students to develop their talents to the full. These include: a 300 seat theatre, drama and dance studios, recording studios, a TV studio, fitness suite, floodlit Astroturf, climbing wall, tennis courts, playing field, sports hall, gymnasium and a farm.
At Brampton Manor we are very proud of the quality of care we provide for our pupils. Our dedicated team of Form Tutors, Progress Managers, Learning Support staff and Behaviour Support Managers provide targeted support to all of our students. In addition, we have our own Educational Welfare Officer and counsellor who support those teams to ensure that the safety and emotional well-being of each child is our highest priority.
Behaviour at Brampton Manor is excellent. We never tolerate or ignore poor behaviour and have a clear behaviour policy which all students sign up to. We expect and receive the support of our parents in working together to ensure that standards of discipline remain outstanding.
